The use of light bulbs to illustrate the forming of a sudden idea in comic strips has led to the term “lightbulb moment” although this has been largely surpassed by the term “blue sky moment”.
In today’s classic reprint, the Wizard had a lightbulb moment which led to the invention of the blackout. I think lightbulb blackout makes more sense than blue sky blackout.
