There it is in a nut shell. Republicans don’t do anything about illegals because their doners need cheap labor. The democrats don’t do anything, because it brings in the Latino voters. Not the illegals voting, the Latinos that don’t like their brothers and sisters treated like animals.
And it’s very important that immigrants be illegal, so they can be exploited. If we really wanted to stop them from coming we’d prosecute the employers.
When will this stupid country face up to the fact that any “crisis at our southern border” is just our diseased chickens coming home to roost, due to the asinine, expensive, counter-productive, dehumanizing, corrupt War on Drug-Using Americans? Not only does that support the USA’s organized-crime syndicates by giving them an unregulated monopoly, it drives billions and billions of dollars per year into the greedy hands of the Latin American drug lords, criminal cartels, and corrupt governments, whose fights over all that American loot are what’s making life miserable for the average citizens of those countries.
It’s even worse in Afghanistan, home to 90% of the world’s opium poppies, where Americans are financing both sides of our longest-running war.
Wanna address the immigration “problem”? Legalize drugs! Turn their abuse into a medical issue, not a criminal one. Convert dealers from back-alley crooks to successful entrepreneurs, just as welcome in the Jaycees as the brewers and tavern owners were after the repeal of our original god-awful blunder with Prohibition!
Most of our illegal drugs do not come over the southern border but arrive by boat and plane at regular points of entry according to our various police agencies. A major dent in the burgeoning number of immigrants could be made with foreign aid targeted to those countries from which these people are fleeing.

Especially those undocumented ones that will do the hardest and dirtiest work for a fraction of what we would have to pay an American Citizen.

I keep saying if you really want to fix the problem punish employers hiring under the table because that is the problem.
