That Timmy was a clumsy little bugger, you’d think he’d learn to avoid openings in the ground of any sort.

Don’t look at us, Rover. It wasn’t our idea.

Given the problems Wile E. Coyote has with Acme products, I am not sure I would allow Timmy to dance on an Acme well cover…

If Timmy had a German Shepherd he’d have never fallen down that well

Back in the early days of TV …..open wells must have been everywhere – even where no body ever lived. Also Quicksand was common – even in the desert!. And, don’t get me started on Rattlesnakes.

I hate to ruin a good cliche, but according to one of the actors who played Timmy, he never once fell down a well in the 571 episodes of the series. But Lassie herself did fall in a well in one episode.

I’m old enough to have watched first runs of Lassie! Usuallg the sponsors were like Cheerios, etc. A kid friendly brand. Never cigarettes, of course! I loved Lassie. Still do ;)

After watching several Road Runner episodes; I’m not sure I’d trust the life of my son to a company named ‘Acme!’
