Why would a Plugger get the latest and greatest phone? They’re simple folk. If a cell phone sends and receives calls and perhaps shoots of text messages it’s good enough for them!
Why do people make the rash assumption that Pluggers cannot learn how to use and manage a device that can easily make their lives less complicated? Flip phones are very limited in what they can do. And Pluggers are not as dumb as many people make them out to be. Why are we insulted like this constantly?
My last phone, I managed to do one of those “impossible” things that support refused to believe could happen. I was in IT for 38 years and anything is possible when software is involved. Had to copy out the contact list and do a hard reset.
Segue: Heard a preacher last night testify about that he served as Gen. Schwarzkopf’s right hand man during the Persian Gulf War and that today’s generation doesn’t even know about the Gulf War. Another pathetic reality of what our government schools do not teach- American History. Too concerned indoctrinating their minds with stuff parents should be teaching their children and not the 3 R’s.
Bought my first cellphone/service package 16 years ago (it was a flip phone). A little over 3 years later I left it out in the summer sun and fried the battery. When I took it back to the phone store the guy asked me how long I had and then said “You know, most people trade these phones in for an upgrade after about 3 months!”
I recently had to replace my 3G phone, as that service was being discontinued. I was considering 5G, but the advertised model I was considering was not available, so I showed the salesman what I had, and asked him what he had the same size. I’m now the proud owner of a 4G flip-phone … ;)

They also haven’t seen a telephone with a cord attached and round dial with numbers printed behind the hole in it.

I have had the provider send a me a new phone, as they upgraded the service, so I don’t think any G3 phone will work on G4.

By the time I figure out how to use all the “great features” on my phone, it will die and I’ll need a new one.
