She’s driving a truck// Driving a big ol’ truck// Pedal to the metal, hope she don’t run out of luck.// Rolling down the highway until the break of dawn.// Driving a truck with her high heels on.
Her diesel rig is northward bound.// She’s trying to put that hammer down// Just watching as the miles go flying by.// She’s riding twenty tons of steel,// but it’s sure hard to hold the wheel// While she’s still waiting for her nails to dry.
Oh, she’s always gotta check her lipstick in that rear-view mirror// And her pink Angora sweater fits so tight.// She’s jamming gears and haulin’ freight,// But she sure hopes her seams are straight.// Lord, don’t let her mascara run tonight.
Because she’s driving a truck// Driving a big ol’ truck// Smokey’s on her tail and her accelerator’s stuck.// Got these 18 wheels a-rollin’ until the break of dawn.// Driving a truck with her high heels on.
(Musical interlude)
Oh, she don’t mind when her cr****-less panties creep right up on her,// And her nipple rings don’t bother her too much.// But when she hits those big speed bumps// Her darlin’ little rhinestone pumps// Keep slipping off the mother-lovin’ clutch.
But still, she’s driving a truck// Driving a big ol’ truck// Heading down the Interstate just trying to make a buck.// Wearing feathered boas, with sequins and chiffon// While she’s driving a truck with her high heels on.
She’s driving a truck// Driving a truck// Got a load to carry, and some eyebrows left to pluck.// And she’s late for her appointment, down at the hair salon.// So she’ll be driving a truck with her high… heels… on… (her high heels on).
A scary thought just occurred to me… When they get home, will Sedine ever become the sweet darling that Sam married again? Or, will Roy’s mom need to intervene again?
An old classic by the group…Nazareth. Kentucky Fried Blues. “I got no time to eat. I got no time to sleep. Got a truck full of stuff. Should have been there last week…..I’ve been living in truck stops. My body feels used. Got the hamburger that’s right Yeah! The Kentucky fried blues.” Sedine will take heart by this line….Riggers do not complain.

Happy Memorial Day to all! I guess there are worst ways to spend it than trucking though the good ol’ US of A.

If you’re never there I guess that means you’re going nowhere fast…I hope Ellie wasn’t counting on that money too much.

And thus Sedine passed on her legacy to Gabby. 25 years later, she’ll be hopping into the driver’s seat and her CB handle will be Bee Baby.

Two thousand miles of carrying that stinking Gabby under my nose would put me “there”.

I’m starting to wonder if Ms. Bear is speaking from experience here. She does seem to know a lot about trucking.

You can blame Weird Al for this one…

A lot of trucking companies keep you out for 30 days, then home for 5. Some are out for 5 and home for 2, and the pay isn’t much less.
