Years ago, I used to drive up-and-down I-95 to visit friends on a fairly regular basis, with Art Bell a frequent companion on the journey home in the wee small hours, tuning from affiliate AM channel to affiliate AM channel as they moved in and out of range.
No price tag anywhere on this guy, a real cryptid? I suppose with all the sentient animals this shouldn’t be a surprise, I suppose he’s hitching rides little-by-little to get back to the Pacific Northwest?
In his 1997 album, Reunion Hill, Richard Shindell sings of the struggles of the weary trucker in “The Next Best Western.” Like Sedine, the trucker is on the transcontinental I-80, which runs from San Fransisco to Teaneck, NJ. I like how Charlene puts the squeeze on little Gabby.
Love little Gabby’s tongue out expression in Panel 3.
South Park may explain Des Moines
Stan and Kyle discovered a man frozen in a cave on South Park. They discovered Larry in a cave in 1999 (2nd Season Episode 18) They took him to Dr. Mephisto who thawed him out, and determined he was from the distant past – 3 years ago. Didn’t Larry try to live in the present, but he discovered his wife had moved on and had two children with her new husband. The oldest child was actually older than when Larry was frozen….
Larry tried to freeze himself because he did not fit in the modern world. SO Stan and Kyle took Larry the prehistoric man, to Des Moines so that he can live in the past. In Des Moines it was still 1996 the year the “Prehistoric Man” was actually frozen.
Maybe Bigfoot has such a time entanglement, and he doesn’t want to run into Thanos, or America’s ass, Captain America.

I really like “Oh My Gargle!” It’s like the end of Big Trouble in Little China.

Wait, an actual Bigfoot this time? Surely there can’t be that many cosplaying bears around…

With Bea famous for her twists I would not be surprised if Sedine had a delivery for area 51.
