You sure about that, Carmen? I grew up with cats and no why did my family like them bringing in “presents.”

Dead animals is okay. My cats used to drag in half-dead mice, and then set them loose in the house to play with. Obviously said mice then got away and crawled under a cupboard or so and died there. Which meant a foul odor for a couple of weeks. :-/

Since my inside cats couldn’t get out, I was safe. The outside cats, just left them on the doorstep, Had to be careful to thank them & dispose of them when the cats weren’t there.

Actually, it means it thinks you’re an especially stupid kitten who can’t learn to hunt for yourself.

I read that cats do that because they think you can’t catch mice on your own, so they are feeding you, you helpless, pathetic human

Once had two cats that were brother & sister. She left dead mice on the front porch and he came along and ate them.

They do that to show they are doing something (instead of laying around being useless).

If one of my cats caught a mouse in the house she would ROWLLLLL at the door with mouse in her mouth. Once outside she would let the stunned mouse loose, wait a couple minutes and then go after it in earnest. I guess she felt she was leveling the playing field.
