Today’s strip reminds me of my favorite hangout in Mountain View, California. Alas, Saint James Infirmary was burned to the ground by an arsonist, IIRC in 1998.
@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny but again a repeat our HERO Mr Andrew Capp instead of letting them take him to the General Hospital asked to betaken to “The First Aid Post” what are the odds of a pub being named that? :o) my avatar is a picture of a jellyfish that has survived in spite of not having a single nerve cell which is good news for some stupid humans I know ,even in our own street :o) how was your day? ours should be busy but calm I hope , I have already done our bulk shopping which included yummy large white figs , we are both in a good mood, no more errands to run, so I can browse the internet , do some snooping with the CCTV cams and chill, keep safe a take the anti Covid19 jab , I’ve had both of mine ,and thanks for caring young Lady
@Number Three I think we share the same Father’s day(nine months before mother’s day is a stupid joke)I will probably getting more T-shirts or cargo shorts from my sons
I don’t know if it’s there anymore, but years ago, there was a bar in Phoenix, Az. located directly across from one of the hospitals called The Recovery Room. It was a favorite hang-out for off-duty doctors and nurses … at least I think they were off-duty?
Good news, Cappers. I successfully booked my first COVID vaccine for Saturday 19th June, 11:10am. I managed to get through to the website but my nearest venue was not listed. However when I phoned a local number, I got an appointment pretty much straightaway at that venue.
Wish me Luck! I’m not good with needles even though I give blood.

I’m as disappointed as the paramedics… pubs need to stop naming their establishments as something else.

One needs to revive Andy’s spirits with some liquid spirits, poured in a mug preferably.

Can beer be medicinal? I hear the occasional glass of wine has it’s health benefits.

Hey, Affie. I’ve certainly heard some unusual pub names. One of them in London I believe is called “The Job Centre”
When we were in our first lockdown going out to the supermarket felt like a big outing.
As for Father’s Day, we have it on the same day as the US. But our Mother’s Day is in March.
I’d trust a jellyfish with my life than some humans, I must admit.
Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal. See my comment below this one for some good news.

Well, alcohol is often used as an anesthetic, so Andy isn’t that far off.
