My recently deceased wife’s cats don’t lick plastic they chew. If a piece of any type of plastic is left “out” it has teeth marks in it. I had to lock all of the cabinets that contain any plastic with child locks.

My cats have learned to knock over the paper bag full of recycling in the kitchen. Not as smelly as a squid bag.

Pip is being nice to Pippin! And I’m sure Pippin’s comments make perfect sense to him.

I would worry less about my kitties LICKING the plastic bags as them CHEWING on them.

We had a deaf white cat who would lick the plastic bag and then get the handle caught around him in various ways (neck, midsection, tail.) When he would greet us in his regalia we would call him “stoopercat” (reference Daffy Duck.)

Learn from the best. (If the bag is plastic, don’t get inside.)

Plastic bags should be kept away from pets. (Unless that pet is a fish, and the bag is to transport them home from the pet store.) Interesting that Pippin calls it a squid bag. Also interesting that he calls Pippi’s antics subterfuge.

We really need to know more about Pippin’s history. Was he rescued from a research lab? The Adam’s Family Mansion?
