I’m the gardener at home, and my husband tries to help at times, but gets in the way and causes delays instead of really helping all that much. :P I love his willingness, but still …..
We have no lawn in front – driveway takes up the front. Small backyard.
The backyard got away from us last year – since we didn’t walk out of the house except for one trip to the supermarket and to take in the mail – never in back yard – it was not until late June when husband had to do something in his garage wood shop that we thought of the back yard. Grass and weeds about waist high – weed trees growing and we knew that under all that was the poison ivy that he normally gets right away each year to keep it from growing and expanding (reached the side of front of house due to this) and I said to him – let it grow, it will die in the winter and we start over next year.
Of course this year we did not think to go back there until mid May and same problems so have to figure if we will find someone to hire to mow and clear it for us or ignore it again until next year and note it in my Organizer to do something about it.

And sometimes being retired means a bigger honey do list.

Rookie mistake Ben, you should know by now that women are constitutionally unable to stand seeing a man sitting around being content.

Like they said in our CCW class yesterday, “If you don’t have a plan, you are planning to fail”.
