Too add to the party, I’ve made some ice cream. I tried to make Rocky Road. Since I wasn’t sure it would turn out very well, I made some vanilla ice cream with Butterfinger chunks in it. In the lead container in the isolated area, there is some nuclear coffee ice cream, please do not let it drip.

Bowling sounds like fun. cleo make sure you were the shoes (though I think the rest is optional).

Grog, i got a small stuffed baseball bat with the words, “computer club” printed on it as a present one year.

yyyguy Be glad you didn’t get a real one. There are times, I might be inclined to go look for my baseball bat. But after so many moves, I have no Idea where it is now - but it’s somewhere in this house.

Grog i have several real ones, both wood and aluminum. when nephews and nieces were small they were kept in the trunk of the car - along with balls and gloves - in case of a sudden desire to play, but were moved indoors when i bought my last vehicle. they don’t seem to have the same desire as teens that they did when they were younger (and neither do my poor arthritic knees), but, that’s life.

time for me to go to work, folks. leaving karma for those in need…

Hello Terry & Dawn. I have just completed putting a little platform on the floor downstairs to elevate our boxes in case we should have another leek or when the hot water heater goes out for real.

Well good, good, good Tabby. Have you tried out the bowling alley yet? I am eating an anchovy, roasted garlic and roasted red pepper, thin crust pizza and enjoying a nice glass of ESB with it. This bowling alley does a pretty good job on their pizzas. (smack, smack, chew, chew, slurp)

Grog the worst offense of ALL was removing the theme from “Patton” in the episode with Little Arthur. That episode was ABSOLUTELY ROFLMAO HILARIOUS! When they took that out and put in that other garbage music, it pretty much destroyed that episode! Thank goodness they couldn’t screw with the Thanksgiving Day Turkey fiasco episode!

It’s good to see everyone is having a good time - especially Tabby. Carmy tell your daughter to join in the fun, it’s her special day too!! lightenup glad you could stop by. Only cleo is bowling? I guess I could roll a few gutter balls.

Dry, that episode with little Arthur was hilarious in it’s original form. What great little dictator he’d make. Many a good episode was been ruined, especially when Lester had the big date with Jennifer. He was getting steamed up and dressing and putting on his rug to “Hot Blooded” in the original released version. The song they replaced it with was awful, and ruined the whole sequence.

I will not watch that show now unless it is uncut/unedited.

Bunnyface, I’ll have to see if I can find it locally

Tabby, my first ball knocked down 4 pins and wobbled a third. When I threw for a spare I got a strike in the next alley. Pizzas are really good here. I am now trying a feta, mushroom, leek and pancetta with a glass of barbera red. I can’t bowl for love or money, but I got a strike by accident on the next frame. I knocked nine pins down by shear force and the final pin fell just because of the breeze.

Grog there is only one little dictator around here and it is my wife. We call her LilG (little general) but she could easily assume the role is dictator. LOL

Akenta join me for a game. Bowling is getting more fun. I started with beer, then red wine and now I am drinking Booker’s.

Dry WKRP’s scripts had some great humor, but the music selected for the show’s original airing went along with the story line nicely. Take them away and they’re not half as good.

cleo do you think some wine would help my game? I tried beer last time I bowled, and that wasn’t the answer.

Grog I loved WKRP and thought the music was fantastic, particularly when you think of the music that was on other shows at the time. When I heard that they were releasing them without the original music I thought, why bother.

@Akenta, the beer, wine, or Bookers doesn’t so much help you bowl well and make it so you don’t really care…

I think it also helps you make up the difference in the scorekeeping. Although, with seeing double, that might make things interesting…

Cleo & Akenta, that reminds me of a time I went to a Polynesian place after work with some co-workers. We had a few double scorpions which were quite potent drinks. After that I met some friends for bowling.

The first game I bowled an 89, the second a 204 and the third a 160. I stopped there. The effects were beginning to wear off.

Akenta, it is not how well you bowl the game, it is how much fun you have doing it. You are a warrior. Think of the ball as a cannon ball. How much can you destroy with one toss?

204, great game Grog. I rarely bowl, but when I do I enjoy it, but I have never broken 200. LIke I said, plenty of power, but no finesse.

Grog good point. bunnyface I don’t care when I’m sober, so the drinking won’t make a difference. cleo I usually fight with a club or a sword - guess I could throw the bowling ball.

At the Resort we stayed in when in Texas, a group of us would go bowling on Fridays. One fellow who was the best bowler of us would barely throw the ball, reaching a speed of about 9 miles an hour. It would curve to the extreme starting near the right gutter then get dangerously close to the left, sometimes going in, but mostly not. He regularly scored in the 200’s.

cleo It’s been a while since I’ve bowled, but I did some hacking with friends and played in a couple “fun” leauges. My best average was 151. That year, I also won a trophy for high score over-all, which was the only other time I ever broke 200.

My game is petanque, but most people are not familiar with it.

Did you learn that while wintering in the south of France, cleo?

Grog no, I learned it while wintering in the south of Texas.

Grog it is a popular sport within a certain group of people. I learned it in Texas and we used to play everyday and once or twice a year would compete in games with another resort.

Dry I time my unfortunate topples with great care. By the way, flagging doesn’t exist in bowling since I never crossed the throw line. Oh and by the way, ouch.

Dry, I’d be more upset if a perfect game were ruined, not that I’d ever bowl one.

Cleo I meant flagged from the bar area! LOL! Beer, Bookers, etc. And since I just got here, I’ll have a slice of pizza with sausage and anchovies, and a Corona with lime. Thank you!

Hey Dry I am not running the pizza kitchen as everyone seems to think. I am just eating from the pizza cafe. I think it is a group that JFri knows. They do a good job. I am now having a shrimp and scallop pizza with caramelized onions, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, lemon and a drizzle of balsamic. Oh and I have switched to a Tanqueray martini.

Well I think my bed is calling for me again. It’s been the pattern of my day. Unless I toon out for 6 hours, I’ll check in a little later.

Hello Everyone! Thanks for all the birthday greetings for daughter #3. She had a great b-day. I made her a strawberry cake with vanilla icing. I don’t who started this tradition over here, but the b-day person selects whatever they want for dinner. Today’s b-day girl wanted chick-fil-a. If I even tried to bowl now, I’d probably roll down the lane instead of the ball.

This has been a weird evening. We have had 2 rain showers since I went to sit down for dinner that lasted for less than 5 minutes each, but both were some of the heaviest downpours that I have ever experienced here in the PNW. In Texas they get this sort of rain shower and they last all day and end up with 20+ inches of rain.

I took a little nap when the cake was done and cooling off. JFri, for some reason, when I bowl, the ball goes really slow down the lane. I can still gets strikes though.

JFri, not always. I think I never learned how to throw the ball correctly. I just kind of let it go with a big clunk and if the bumpers are up, I might get a strike from it.

Carmy i am learning that the lower you are to the groud when you let the ball go the more likely it is to go the way you want it to. :0)

my favorite sign at the bowlling alley i go to is “bowling and beer a winning comination” i jet a good lol every time i read it.
