About 10 years ago we had a severe storm come through. No apparent damage to our roof, but our contractor (a friend) advised we needed to get it replaced. Our homeowner’s insurance paid for it, and he even gave us a discount to compensate for the $1,000.00 deductible.

I replaced my roof myself. No leaks, but if something goes wrong, I get quick response.
