My recently deceased wife and I have had many dogs, sadly all are now gone the last one 2 weeks ago and not one of them would give up the ball willingly. We tried all of the “tricks” and they did what they wanted, I think to them it was more fun if we “chased” them to get it.

I can get my dog to “drop it” maybe 3 out of 7 times.
