It’s amazing what freaks people out. On Clacton Pier there used to be a mechanised sailor in a glass box that laughed non stop rocking as it did so. It was meant to be some sort of entertainment but I always had an urge to throw a house brick at it.
Such tiny little beings in panel 3 but each one perfectly recognizable. I appreciate the simple economics of Blisshaven being able to stay afloat teaching/caring for only six kids. :)
An older strip had one of the kids cranking the jack-in-the-box, and the clown burst out forcefully and ended up on a ceiling light fixture, freaking out all the kids. I love this kind of continuity.
Went to a small country school. 6 of us students. There was a “mouse problem” which gave us a lot of entertainment. When a mouse appeared during class the whole school would jump up and chase it or throw things at it. Teacher didn’t always agree with this.
