Where I live at school now starts less then 2 weeks of vacation next week, teacher’s preparing classes, then next week in-service, and what kids been waiting for first day of class.

most teenagers in the US are chronically sleep deprived because of school schedules, it had to do with making older students classes start at the same time as elementary students instead of having a staggered schedule. When I was in middle school we were expected to be there by 7:50. I think these days schools start later to help deal with this problem.

One of my university friends taught at my old high school for a while. When my sister ran into him, she’d say “Hi, Fred, ah… Hello, Mr Slater.”
