I fail to understand how the pro sports drafts are not an illegal violation of the player’s civil rights & a restraint of trade. And don’t even think of bringing their anti-trust exemptions, as the player’s civil rights are far more important than that!
Well… you can treat them like corporate management contracts. Of course, almost all of those have non-compete clauses for when people leave (and additional clauses dealing with early departures).
Just think of having players sign those – okay Aaron. You can leave but you cannot play QB for any other NFL team for the next 18 months.
