I’d ask how long it took for the Sagoths to master the manufacture of cannons and powder after seeing Dian’s daughter fire a cannon, but ERB already explained that time is out of whack in the inner world… The Sagoths may have had 400 years of technological evolution while the Empress was eating breakfast. Was there ever such a plot device for plugging logic holes?
