Just saved himself from a fate worse than death. Anything is better than a date with Nemone.

Nemone; “That bronze skinned, dark curly haired, strong arms, broad shouldered, ape man, warm and wild, that will teach him!” Two minutes from now the gong will be ringing again.

“with the other enemies of Nemone”? Geesh! That’s got to be at least half the city! That must be one big room.

Tarzan really put one over on them. He got thrown in prison where he might escape, instead of just staying free in the first place.

Um…prison? Where he might escape? After all this time he’s been wandering around town freely, going out in the bush to hunt—taking to the trees to free the quarry—going back and forth visiting various people…What in the world did I miss?

It’s easier to get out of prison and the city than just get out of the city? That makes sense.
