I thought that a major part of burying a bone in the ground for a dog was the “pleasure” of doing it (digging and burying) themselves.
I guess it’s kind of this way with so many things that people have done for them today. And they/we miss out on the pleasure in the process and the activity involved, and on the reward and sense of accomplishment of having done it them/ourselves.
