Sadly, our tolerance for heat is not really an issue. We are historically tropical.The two biggest problems are coastal flooding, when the majority of population lives near water, and desertification of agriculture zones.It will take 10 years to turn California into a desert. It will take 1000 years to turn the Sahara into cropland.That 990 year gap is going to suck.
Wonderful novel by Donald Westlake called “Smoke” featured the tobacco industry trying to find a way to breed human beings who would not be susceptible to the many evils of tobacco. It was hilarious.
