I can’t help but think of all the poor little birds getting cooked in their nests. :P. The BC Gov’t finally declared a state of emergency, because of the 300+ wildfires raging across the province. We’re going to lose a LOT of wildlife this year.
Don’t seem to have that problem here in mid-michigan. I’ve got one robin that has built five nest starts, one on top of the propane grill tank, one on a cultivator in the shed, the other three are on hanging ladders. She never used any of them, she’s nesting in a fir tree.

That will be true when all the forests are burnt to the ground, clear cut, or leveled for suburbs and parking lots.

Definitely the current housing situation in our neck of the woods. Any unit that comes up for rent goes to the highest bidder.

Must be a very severe shortage. They is even forced to nest on a very low branch where a doggie can easily reaches them and eats them.
