It does seem that way at times. I wonder if meteorologists or geographers have studied where tornadoes touch down, and what specifically is destroyed at what rate by these events? It may be more a case of obvious catastrophic destruction attracts an audience. When a tornado encounters a trailer park, it is no contest. So the news feeds, photos, and stories tell that story. “If it bleeds, it leads.” So it would be worth knowing if trailer parks actually are hit more often than other types of structures.

Tornados are much more common on flat land.

Trailer parks are usually constructed on flat land.

If it hits my garden, we’ll finally achieve whirled peas.

On behalf of tornadoes – Yes, they can be very destructive and deadly, but they are not malicious.

(Tornadoes do not seek out trailer parks to hit.

… Many tornadoes mostly “hit” relatively open farmland.)

We just had one run through Barrie Ontario, again. They had one in 85 that killed several. No deaths so far but many hurt.

Trailers are held down with scotch tape and kite string. You’ll notice that on scenes of destruction there is often a house slab with a toilet sitting on it. Toilets are the only things BOLTED to the slab.

They don’t need an app for that, they have a natural homing signal.

    FYI:

The United States has the most tornadoes of any country, as well as the strongest and most violent tornadoes. A large portion of these tornadoes form in an area of the central United States popularly known as Tornado Alley. Canada experiences the second most tornadoes.
