Those built in shelves come with too many problems ;-)

They get in the way when you want to kiss the ‘missus’ ! ! ! !

That’s just nuts. I’m going on for 79, 6 foot two plus, 188 pounds, 33 in waist. I’ve got that shelf, but only when reclined in my LaZBoy.

The expression for that used to be “his chest has fallen”. Haven’t heard it for a while.

The one draw back of this is you can’t do this while watching sports or anything that will get you suddenly excited. A Plugger does not spill his beer!

Much too unstable!

My recently deceased wife and I both had “shelves” that our cats and chihuahua’s liked. Hers was her large “boobs” and mine was my big belly, sadly after she died I lost both my belly and our last chihuahua. The GRIEF diet caused a 40 pound weight loss in 18 weeks.

Extra points if you can nap without spilling.
