I’m watching the news where the Las Vegas police had to shatter several car windows to rescue dogs left in hot cars. In 117 degree heat. That’s a fine of $1000.00 and or 6 months in jail. I say throw the book at them.

We have lightning again tonite. It started a brush fire on Hwy 15. That’s the hwy that I would use to get to Queen’s house. What a summer so far.

Today is:

Cow Appreciation Day. I love milk. And butter. And ice cream. I appreciate cows every day.

Yesterday must have been Bunny Day. I had to take my car to the mechanic for an oil change and on my way home from there, I saw 5 bunnies all in the stretch of only 3 blocks of my walk (it’s about a half mile walk total).

Oh and this afternoon I looked out the window and saw a hawk sitting in front of the bird bath. Nononono I went out and shooed him away. The birds rely on the fresh water in these HOT days and the bunny family lives in a burrow behind the bush he was sitting in front of.

This Side Up? I am finally seeing an eye doctor today – I can no longer read without a magnifying glass, time for new glasses. And the chiropractor, waking with headaches every morning for a week now. 103 today, terrible day for errands, but it’s an 80 mile round trip to town so I’ll try to do as much as possible.

You forget the complimentary collar that makes it all worthwhile.

I don’t know what kind of cereal Krungles is, but it can’t be good if most dogs don’t like it. I mean, dogs will eat anything, right? (Even stuff they shouldn’t.) On another note, saw two damselflies, four rabbits, a dragonfly, a Western tanager, a sparrow, and a towhee while out walking today.

Gee, I thought the dog sled couldn’t get the new strip to the Post Office only in the winter.
