I remember when I was very young feeling so pleased with myself that I knew how to spell Mississippi. Just as I was a few years later when I learned how to pronounce Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch and, 50 years later, still can.
I always had trouble spelling “Massachusetts” as a kid (I live in NH, so we kind of had to be able to). The only way I could (and can) is remembering one of my little brother’s Book-and-Record sets, about a boy visiting his grandparents who was afraid that Santa wouldn’t be able to find him. His dad suggested writing a letter to Santa, so he did. He asked his dad how to spell “Massachusetts”. I can still hear it: “M-A…S-S-A…C-H-U…S-E-T-T-S.”
I woke up in a biology class and Prof. Yang was talking about the floor! Huh!?!? I looked at the floor and couldn’t make heads nor tails of what was special about the floor! As I woke up more I realized it was his accent and he was talking about “flower”! Yeah, I flunked out of college, what a surprise, LOL!
That’s what the answer to the question is I bet. Which river divides the eastern United States from the western United States? Of course Peppermint Patty will probably spell it Mysiesupee
She DID offer the answer, 42 — doesn’t “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” say the answer is always 42? (must be some kind of cosmic mathematical constant)

Peppermint Patty, when it comes to school, is a lesson in futility.
