Go away from Clayton, Adam, unless you want to kill the joy of reading for him.
Well, maybe watching Clayton might remind him how it’s done!!!
“Teach Yourself Cartooning”.
“And don’t read over my shoulder.”
One thing readers hate is having people yammer at them while they’re reading. Just leave him be Adam.
Reading is usually one of those activities best enjoyed alone. (Leaving aside those times when you are reading to a child sitting on your lap.)
Good on you Clayton. Read. Read like the wind.
Next they’ll be asking Clayton for book reports!
I’m surprised that no one has enquired as to the book’s title or what it’s about……
I am always happy to talk about what I’m reading, but not while I’m reading
Poor Clayton. Two hovering parents increase the smothering exponentially.
Quick, a photograph for the Museum of Natural History.
Leave the kid alone, he’s probably just looking at a copy of PlayDude magazine that he found in the neighbors trash.
They seem pretty determined to make him hate reading
I can’t decide which surprises me most, how hard his parents are working to discourage him from or reading, or the fact that he is still reading
It got weird.
The reactions of his parents are understandable, but the situation is a little like trying to observe wildlife in its natural habitat. If you get too close or do something startling, it’ll bolt.
