This reminds me of some craziness that my mother, a former 2nd grade teacher, had to deal with on a field trip. My mom’s class was on Bus #1. For one of her boys this was his first field trip without his mother along as a chaperone. The boy did not have a cell phone with him.
The boy’s cousin and aunt were on Bus #2. The boy’s mother assumed that the boy was upset without her. She texted the aunt “I just know he’s losing his mind without me.” The aunt misunderstood, thinking that the mother was in contact with the boy and he had told her he was upset.
The aunt told the teacher in charge of Bus #2, who tried to call my mom. Between the kids, the movie playing on the bus’s TVs, and the traffic my mom couldn’t hear her phone. So Bus #2’s driver radioed #1’s driver, saying “There’s a kid losing his mind in the back of your bus”. Driver #1 thought that Driver #2 saw a child misbehaving through his bus’s back window. He pulled over and went back to investigate. My mother followed him.
The boy who was supposedly “losing his mind” had been happily watching the movie. Eventually everything was sorted out and we got back on the road without too much of a delay.
Poochie is so stricken with sorrow because Nancy and Fritzi are gone, that Poochie has become devoid of all emotion. And devoid of self awareness. Either that, or Poochie is in a state of rigor mortis. How old is Poochie, anyway. ???

There was a movie called Pets that showed us what pets really do when we leave the house. It was a lot like Toy Story.

I like Nancy better when she was more pudgy. She’s gotten to skinny.
