I’m having trouble figuring this one out. Was the door closed when it started? Was it closed at the destination? If it was closed both places, why are their feet out? Were they going up or down?
Back in the mid 1960’s while I was in San Francisco, I would go to the Fox plaza building where they had this express elevator there. It was all state of the art back then and Otis elevators would be proud…. I would wait until late at night when no one was using itand get in and hit the top floor which was 14… Then I would hit basement and that thing would drop like a rock and brake at the lastsecond… It was always good for a quick thrill and made your stomach go up into your throat.
I think they were going down at such a high speed when the car stopped suddenly they were thrown to the floor, the hat and glasses are still in free fall.

That’s what they get for using parts from a centrifuge.

That is one fast elevator. They were free falling weightless until they hit bottom. Hat and glasses are just catching up. Stomachs will arrive later.

It needs to go faster to get the juices out.

It’s the sharp turns that really get you.

Like the old idea of jumping up (while weightless i don’t know how..) the instant before it hits bottom..

To quote an favorite movie of mine… “We’re on an express elevator to hell – going down!”
