Twenty years from now which is going to matter – unwashed dishes, or time spent with your now-grown toddler?

She looks …particularly angry about that. Is she blaming the child?

I’ve always wanted to hire someone to come in every day just to clean up the dishes.

My mom was a fanatical housekeeper. Being a 1950’s era mom, she didn’t work and had few other “distractions.” Also we had a very small house, so there wasn’t much to keep.

There was a side advantage to me. My then future mother-in-law knew I was a “boy from a reputable family” when we first met since my shirts were so nicely ironed.

So my sister and I were scandalized when she left a single dish in the sink overnight.

She is feeling her regrets melt away and succumbing to a nap as she is becoming another victim of cuddle hormone poisoning.

Loved reading that book to mine. Dont regret leaving the dishes — until it was three days later
