I’m with Dehlia here. I never liked the idea of putting on shoes to get into the sea. It just seems very annoying. Even the SeaMonster don’t like it!

I thought they went to the beach, not the lagoon.

I don’t swim in Leech Lake, MN.

I don’t think this is the creature’s first appearance on this strip, but I can’t be arsed to find a previous one.

The coral at Waikiki sliced a large chunk out of my heel.

Cone snails are very toxic.

Sea urchins hang out in those parts?

Out here on the west coast all you need to worry about is a shark taking a bite out of your leg.

Water shoes are actually a pretty good idea for most places … you never know what other people have left behind to step on

Hey hey hey! He belongs in a lagoon not the sea.

Only our Monty could be oblivious enough to step on Gill Man’s head!

I am not sure the Devonian Man could live in salt water. More of a brackish black lagoons.
