Why? Because they were going to take Draft Numbers upto #75 by the end of August and I had #76. So I enlisted at the end of July in to get my choice of Service rather than letting them Choose. Beat my notice by two weeks.

Baldo still has yet to learn that things you want take time and patience.

Cheer up, Baldo… If the creative team stays healthy you’ve got another thirty teen years left in you.

Meanwhile, be lucky he hasn’t been cited yet for keeping an inoperable motor vehicle for too long. Every city that I know of has an ordinance against that

I was drafted into Marines December 4, 1968. A couple months they had numbers. My eye sight was 400/20and my hearing held up for a month at the Preinduction Physical. I had some hearing loss. but Iws good to go.

It looks like the car is blocking the entire driveway, so does Dad park on the street?

A better question would be with all the times we have seen work being done to the car, we see no advancement. “If he gets the car fixed, we can’t use it as a lame crutch story device!” Said the writer. Yes, let’s get this car fixed and be done with it. Then Baldo can drive around and have DIFFERENT adventures that don’t include his brat sister.

All the neighbors are also wondering why they have to look at that heap every day.

I’d hate to see his mid-life crisis! Teenage angst is a real thing though.
