For some Seniors, this makes sense. However, I was thinking ahead when I built this house and the stairs help me maintain good strength so it does not come to the above.
Of course, moving the bedroom downstairs is going to take more breath than you have! Better hire someone; better hire an end-of-life care nurse at the same time.

Not so funny when you are 85 and have to “abandon” the upper floor of your house. My mother is at that point.
