@the reader. Just cause you reminded me, I checked. Today is “fight procrastination” day. But tomorrow is “National Beer lovers day”…woo hoo!

I’m with Will on this. When I was a kid. It always seemed to me Summer was over with when it was Labor Day. Especially, with Jerry Lewis’s telethon.

I may be back in school, but my mind is still at the seaside.

Meteorological summer actually started on September 1 (as it does every year).

I remember one stupid commercial (for Jeep, I think) that started “If summer had a beginning….” I always said, “It does. It has an official one — usually around June 20th — and an unofficial one — Memorial Day.” Plus there’s also the meteorological one on June 1.

Time to start growing the winter coat.

Will clearly does not live anywhere near me – we’ll still have warm to hot temps until mid to late October. That is when summer will end. Then we get a little fall followed by a maybe winter, some spring and pre-summer around April.

It’s hard for me to think that when the temperature was in the 90s yesterday.
