I have never had a cat that didn’t come when I called it. My problem with my cats has always been the opposite: they wanted attention while I was trying to do other things. I never understood why people say cats are aloof or uncaring. My last cat, the wondrous Ericka, would also go to any place if I first pointed to her and then to that place. If I tapped a location with my hand and said “Here,” she would go to that exact spot.

Now this is a tough one. You can’t choose what you want to ignore because you must ignore it.

Our kitten has some favorite cat toys that jingle
As far as I can tell, he is unable to ignore them at this point
He was asleep on the cat tree when I accidentally kicked one, he was awake and across the room before it stopped rolling
