Finally someone is calling it out. I always get a kick out of people who drive to the gym and then try, and sometimes wait, to get a parking spot near the front door. Because walking a hundred more feet is just too much when they are going to run miles on the treadmill.
I once tried to give blood at the Red Cross (my Dad was a big time donor). Turned whiter than white a few minutes after the needle was in. The RC basically said “Don’t call us. We’ll call you.”
Those app scooters aren’t just useless, they’re a traffic hazard anywhere people abandon them, even more dangerous when the distracted and negligent riders are on them, and just plain litter and eyesores, too. The financiers responsible should be buried alive underneath them at the dump and let the rats gnaw.
1. The fault is our work ethic; giving 100% sounds great, but it is of our time, our lives, our blood…“Always give your best” is more realistic.
2. En français (sing this in your head, your family will call a doctor otherwise): Vieux Macdonald a eu une ferme/ah ee ah ee ooo/Et dans cette ferme il a une serpente/ah ee ah ee ooo/Avec une siff siff ici et une siff siff la/là une siff, ici une siff, toute en place une siff siff/Vieux Macdonald a eu une ferme/ah ee ah ee ooo…
3. I know. I was on the treadmill yesterday thinking that our ancestors would think we were insane when we could expend the same energy in more productive ways.

Those flying cars sure cut down on tire wear. I mean, how long has it been since whitewall tires were a thing?

A reasonable list of things to give up if you really want to save the planet and give up on oil.

It occurred to me the other day that it’s been over 40 years since I’ve worked out with any kind of gym equiptment
It’s been that long since I’ve needed it
