Went castle hopping in Scotland. I was shocked how small some of them were. One had all these small cubbies in the wall. I inquired as to what they were. Pigeon holes for the carrier pigeons!! History in school could have been so interesting if they only taught stuff like that instead of memorizing dates of battles.
