I hate it when family gawk at me when I have back pain and walk funny, sit down funny, squat to pick up off the floor, getting into the car. Just wait until THEY are in pain – it’ll be my turn to gawk!
Last time I felt like that I tried working on my indoor skier thinking no issue, my back let me know major issue major muscles spams and pain worse at night in my sleep, I tried heating pad should used bag of ice, I waited months before trying again then baby steps working out That was few years ago, now I work at 20 minutes.
Remember that each person’s pain threshold is purely subjective. I have a very low tolerance for pain, so when I fell and broke my kneecap I’m pretty sure the neighbors heard me scream!

I feel the same way when I get leg cramps while asleep in bed.

It’s great to have some Vicodin. Or whatever it is they had back then.

Meanwhile, John’s patients are finding other dentists because he’s not at work…

The first panel does tell us that the person ready to take care of John at a moment’s notice is Farley (as suspected).

Ive been there, and even though it still hurts. Being able to get up and move about is a great feeling.

Just because I’m screaming it doesn’t mean I’m not feeling better. Yesterday, I couldn’t even do that.

Just don’t addicted to pain pills, John!!! After my agonizing thorecotomy, my liver almost shut down because I needed TEN acetaminophen just to MOVE!

Well, you sure don’t SOUND better!

There is no point in suffering in silence unless there is someone around to hear you.

Been there, done that. So has my husband. Thank the Lord that we don’t any more.

“Better” is a relative term, of course. Moving around may be painful, but at least he’s able to do it now.

I half expected Farley to “sing” along!

I remember this pain so very well, have done my back a few times over the years – mostly when I was rather younger.

People who are not accustomed to pain want everyone to know that they are experiencing discomfort. :P

If that’s “the better” I’d hate to hear “the worse”.
