Cut roses are usually sold while they’re still closed, otherwise they won’t last long at all.

Why is it aimed towards male customers? What about the women?

$4 ea.?? Wow! I pay less than that for a dozen fresh, long-stemmed roses where I live. A bouquet of roses runs anywhere from $2.99 – $3.99 for just the roses. A large bouquet of roses and other flowers can cost as much as $5.99 – $7.99

Of course, one of the reasons roses are so inexpensive here is that Ecuador is one of the largest exporters of fresh flowers – particularly roses – so they are readily available and plentiful all year long.
