From the fiercest dinosaurs to the gentlest humming bird. This kid has some imagination.

It is a vicious cycle. He has to drink to flap and flap to drink.

I love to watch humming birds at the feeder. If the feeder is swinging, the bird just goes back and forth with it.

Have fun marg, don’t step in anything fresh. :)

For those of you who enjoy our little “Feathered Jewels”, as Marty Stouffer used to call them, here’s a neat site. http://www.hummingbirds.net/map.html There is all sorts of good information on hummers.

Genetically (evolutionarily) they are very close to each other. I’m sure Puddleglum 2 will say that it’s god who has imagination.

“He (the hummingbird) drinks half his weight a day.” That’s just a ‘swallow’ for us humans. Mom needs to watch Calvin like a ‘hawk’. Calvin is ‘eagle’y drinking soda. If I were he, I wouldn’t ‘crow’ about it. If they run out of soda, will Calvin go ‘robin’ somebody else’s refrigerator to get more soda? Calvin is en’raptor’ed with the caffeine. ‘Owl’ have to see whether this thread continues. If you think this is for the ‘birds’, you might be right.

I’d say that if he’s this much of a soda drinker already at the age of 6, then he most likely already has discovered “the revitalizing power of caffeine”, which is the reason he’s always bouncing off the walls and driving his parents crazy!!!!!

A question for Calvin’s mom: if she doesn’t want him drinking “soda pop” (or at least so much of it), then why on earth is she even keeping it in the house?!? My parents certainly didn’t keep that stuff in our house when I was a kid!!!

I wonder what kind of soda that is. Coke? Squirt? 7-up? I usually don’t get hyper around soft drinks. Coffee is another story.

Calvin stoking up on the three essential food groups: fat, sugar, and caffeine. It’s my understanding that the latter is actually a primitive form of speed…..gotta have the essential elements to keep your imagination fired up and running….

    They don’t know the words.

(That should rhyme with “coprolite” somehow.)

Teresa, I almost never read the extremely long comments. I find them boring and I wonder if anybody ever reads their whole rant. I think they just write to vent and don’t care if they are read.
