It’s the media’s fault, really: All these cartoons and sitcoms where a gamer playing, say, Super Mario Bros. will constantly go “Oh! Oh! I got the megamushroom to defeat the hyperwizard and get a million bonus points!”
Gaming, social media, staring at one screen or another every possible waking moment – a growing disconnect from reality. Soon it will be hardwired into people’s brains. Mindlessness will be the future… until it collapses, along with what’s left of civilization.

I can tell pretty much what is going on in my hubby’s game by the sound effects. He has one text game that make no sound, I don’t like it.
