I wonder if they are ever going to do a direct Riff from the old Waltons TV series where Jim Bob is building himself a car using parts taken off cars found abandoned on the side of the road and bartered from the local junkyard. It was a thing that they stretched out over several years.
One of the funnier episodes was one where he barters for a horn taken off a very old Rolls Royce. It’s the type horn that is sounded by squeezing a rubber bulb.
Listen, Baldo, I know where you can find a ’59 Edsel Ranger in better condition, looks to have all the trim bits , and the front seat has been reupholstered with the correct fabric including the embossed horse-collars matching the grille! Bear Creek Pike, Columbia, Tennessee, just east of I-65.

Way to break Baldo’s heart, Ralphie. Would it hurt to give him a little advice?

What’s with this rampant misspelling of “whoa”? This is the third comic strip I’ve seen now doing this.

You mean the same guy that towed that classic piece of junk to his house……

Have him fix the damn car and stop using it as a plot point. It’s boring.

It’s been years since the car arrived. I long for progress in fixing it up….

Ralphie is no car expert Baldo. If he cannot see the potential of the car, he doesn’t know squat.

I’d take it as a personal favor if you spelled “whoa” correctly.

To pick up on everyone else’s point, at least get the left front suspension done and a wheel put on, so you can at least roll it around.
