I’ve never had a cat that played with toilet paper, even when they were kittens. Guess I’m lucky.

Aha! I’m guessing he couldn’t find an extra roll so that Fiona could unroll her own.

The toilet paper is unrolled when the senior cat believes the litter box is not clean enough. Only one cat ever jumped up on the counter and that was to go after a prime rib roast. He never did that again aand must have taught the junior members of the family as none have ever jumped on the counter. PS – He was severely scoulded, nothing physical.

Mittens was merely inspecting the roll for defects. The entire roll. Very thoroughly.

A human would have replied to that question with – “Did I unroll it?”

Buying some time to think of a good answer. :-)

The only valid reason for putting on the toilet roll with the paper coming out the back (and not left dangling) is that it is impossible for a cat to unroll it. (If you know of a genius cat who can do it, I’d be interested in hearing about it.)

The Mittens is so altruistic.
