Ben will thank her when he gets home. i have been wearing fleece scarf around my neck to keep the cold air from going down my neck and my lightweight winter coat during my walks at the park. temps have been in the 40s, it has been cloudy, gloomy, and it has been breezy during this week so far. Fall has definitely arrived.
I spent 60 years plus of my life being warm all the time – arguments with husband about going out in winter, even to get mail from the box hanging next to the front door, and that I would get sick.
Then suddenly it all changed. I feel a need to wear a jacket when the temperature is in the 60Fs. I can no longer go out in the winter without a coat – even if wearing a sweatshirt and not even to run the garbage can out to the curb – maybe 20 ft away. My normal temperature even dropped from 97.6 to 96.7F.
He, on the other hand is now warm all the time.
Worst of all is that everything in the house is setup to keep me cool and him warm and now we need it the other way. Sitting now at kitchen table – my seat in the path of the a/c in our studio behind the kitchen. Bedroom – a/c on my side. And no, we cannot exchange where we sit/sleep. He can’t watch the kitchen from the side of the table – in his seat he looks straight at the TV. And sides of the bed cannot be changed of course – plus my stuff in dresser on my side, his stuff mostly in chest of drawers on his side, only part of his stuff in two drawers in my dresser and that items rarely used or spares.

If she is cold, you have to wear warmer clothes. It is an unwritten rule. Don’t question, just accept it

It’s that time of the year that I have to put a little thought into what I’m wearing for my morning walks
Temperature is only one factor, wind and humidity may be even more important

Ben, if you allow your wife to treat you as though she were your mother, you’ve got no one but yourself to blame.
