Yeah they are. You can’t even go roller skating with skates you use out on the street at a roller rink (at least not all roller rinks allow it). It was either back in our teens or early twenties I asked the daughter of a friend of the family why she had two pair of inline skates. She explained the roller rink wouldn’t let you skate in the same skates you used on the street or sidewalk as the wheels might have picked up pebbles that could damage the floor. So rather than have to change the wheels out everytime she wanted to go to the roller rink, she just had two different sets.
