Reminds me of a waiter we had once. When we asked him questions about the menu, he had disparaging remarks about every dish… even went on a rant about how bad the specials were… then he was surprised that we didn’t order, but just paid for our drinks and left…

So do you (yes, I’m talking to YOU) pronounce “dour” to rhyme with your/tour/pour or with hour/sour/flour?
My favorite dictionary says either is acceptable but their Usage Panel voted about 2 to 1 for tour over sour.
