It takes courage.
I could have avoided another relationship, but I went for it. Now we’re celebrating our 22nd anniversary next month.

reminds me of the movie buying a zoo, where the father explains his kids, how he met their mother

The first time I met her, I was completely overcome. When she left, I told myself that I was such a moron, because I hadn’t even asked her name. The second time I met her, I was ready. We’re still married, 36 years later.

Sometimes it takes more courage to leave a bad relationship that to stay in it. For a relationship to last, it take both people to work at it, see the best in each other and ignore faults. My ex made his faults obvious, far TOO obvious. I have faults as well, but one of his was twenty years old.
