So there really was no Sunday strip?

That’s old age, Nelson!

It’s a good thing that Earl lives in a comic strip. By Monday the cartoonist will have erased the drawing on top of his head and all will be well.

And I thought the “duckwalk” was more a Chuck Berry thing…

Was hoping that Nelson could outline the portrait of the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe!

Earl would be happy with that!

As Earl waddles off they should warn him, “Watch your head!” and then “Duck!”

Might be his spirit animal.

I don’t think Earl will be as appreciative of Nelson’s “artwork” when he becomes aware of it…

Earl now you have something to show your friends at the park bench ! They will all want one ;-)

Q: “How do you get down off of an elephant?”

A: “Don’t be silly, you get down off of… um, Earl’s head…”

And he also quacks when he talks. Hmm … would that make Earl a real quack-up?

This arc reminds me of the “Dick Van Dyke Show” episode where Ritchie connected the freckles on Rob’s back while he was napping, and it made a picture of the Liberty Bell.

I’ve noticed this in a lot of comic strips. When they need an animal to talk about they always say duck. It makes sense. To me duck is a funny sounding word.
