@ number Three Today’s strip IS funny , the highlight ofour HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s stint in the Army was getting thrown in the clink :o) my avatar again is a picture of Rowan Atkinson as Mr Bean grinning because he’s in a good mood like I am , how was your day? ours should be slightly busy but we will cope I hope we both are in a good mood , no shopping to do or errands to run, just stay in the house and keep hydrated keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady

At a guess, Andy drank the Sahara dry when he was in the army.

Doris looks like some of those hot chick beavers Andy tries to pick up in the Pubs.

I would guess Andy got the equivalent of a Dishonorable Discharge for continuous inebriation.

The backstory of Andy’s military career closely mirrored Smythe’s real military service in WWII. Andy was a sapper in a Fuiselers Company and saw action in North Africa. Andy and Chalkie White served together and were demobbed at the same time. They’ve been life-long mates and neighbors and both fortunate to have wives like Flo and Ruby who put up with them!

Andy fought in WW II, Snoopy (and Spike!) fought in WW I, Alley Oop fought in the dinosaur wars…………sheesh! BAD human nature, go directly to your room!

Knowing this, Flo married him regardless.

If Andy got an honorable discharge, I would be either very disappointed in the Army or very surprised at Andy.

Hey, Affie.

It was a busy morning for me today. Being left handed stinks, I’ll tell you why.

I had to write church addresses on envelopes and I have 63 to do. I only managed under half of them because my hand was hurting and I got the famous red lump on my finger. I couldn’t do it anymore. It was a heck of a lot easier typing them. Luckily I didn’t need to do them all today so I will do some more next week.

I finished after 2pm and went for a well earned KFC which was delicious. But when I first arrived, I had to attend the first session of a self care course which I’m required to do. I’d rather not to be honest. I hate classroom stuff.
