“Why weren’t you wearing pants? You were in your boxers when we saw you. You’re just buckling up your pants now. Why didn’t you get dressed at home?”

“I like running over here au naturel… Oh, if the police ask, I’ve been here and dressed for the last half hour, okay?”

I guess Cruz doesn’t have parents. They’re never mentioned.

Is Cruz fleeing from home?

Cruz must be having trouble at home. with everything he and Baldo have been through throughout the years he should have felt comfortable enough to ask if could stay with him and his family while he sorts things out. that right noow is more important than being overweight or trespassing!!!!!

My best friend camped out in our back yard (in the country – 5 miles out of town) to stop being beaten by his alcoholic father. This was a shock to me (and my family) as his father was well known and liked at the store where he worked (with my father) as the manager of the produce department. My mother spotted him through the kitchen window and I got in trouble for not telling her what was going on… Once she understood what was happening, the right folks were notified and and help was provided. Unfortunately, the father fell off the wagon a couple of years later and passed away…

For those who missed it, Cruz deals with the anxiety of being illegal by eating ice cream.

Um, what happened at Cruz’s house that he had to sleep in Baldo’s backyard????

Baldo was just questioning, not charging his friend with trespassing.
