Seems like Dave Barry once mused that the squirrel population should by all rights be getting smarter, considering all the dead ones that couldn’t decide which way to go.

And very few actually complete the journey…

Avoid turning around, the comeback route.

For squirrels, the journey of a thousand miles begins with getting wedged in a car’s (or truck’s) grill.

And another road kill.
